A conference in Badajoz informs citizens of the possible access routes to the Armed Forces

The information sessions on training, profession and future in the Armed Forces and the State Security Forces and Bodies will be held on October 26 and 27 in the city of Badajoz, with the aim of informing citizens of the possible ways access to the Armed Forces.

Thus, and under the title ‘Preparaté / Preparalé’, they are addressed both to potential applicants, Compulsory Secondary Education / Baccalaureate students and university students, as well as to parents and guardians.

The Defense delegate in Extremadura, Jesús A. Caballero; the territorial director of Ibercaja for Extremadura, Andalusia and the Canary Islands, Fernando Planelles; the sub-delegate of the Government in Badajoz, Francisco Mendoza, and the mayor of Badajoz, Ignacio Gragera, presented this Wednesday at the Siglo XXI Building in the capital of Badajoz the Informative Conference on training, profession and future in the Armed Forces and the Forces and Corps of State Security.

Specifically, the conference will be held at the Ibercaja Foundation’s own facilities, Siglo XXI Building, on October 26 and 27, and the activities will focus on two areas, on the one hand, an exhibition of various material that the Army, Navy or Air Force, as well as the Civil Guard and the National Police; and on the other conferences to the aforementioned groups on the form and access routes.

Organized by the Defense Delegation in Extremadura with the collaboration of the Ibercaja Foundation, the event will have the collaboration of units from the Extremadura XI Brigade, Talavera la Real Air Base – Wing 23, Rota Naval Base and Civil Guard units of the Extremadura Zone and the National Police.

In addition, the Museum of Aeronautics and Astronautics will display a cabin of a Phantom C-12 that can be visited by attendees, as well as a hot air balloon made available by the General Directorate of Military Recruitment and Education, as indicated in press release of the Defense Delegation in Extremadura.

Regarding the conferences, he explained that he has coordinated with 20 institutes so that their students can attend a total of four talks that will be given over the two days.

During the year 2022, the same sources highlight, a total of almost 900 career military positions have been published between the scales of officers and non-commissioned officers for the three armies, including the common corps, in the different modalities of direct access, internal promotion , with previous degree and without degree.

In addition, 4,300 troop and sailor positions were called, of which 250 were for the units located in Extremadura.

Likewise, the Selection Center of the Defense Subdelegation in Badajoz was attended by more than 800 Extremadurans (659 men and 170 women) who aspired to join the Armed Forces, obtaining 74th place (66 men and eight women), of which 50 correspond to the military units of Badajoz and the rest are distributed throughout the national territory.
