Agents of the National Police Palm they have arrested a 43-year-old Spanish man, as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of illegal detention, two crimes of sexual assault, one with penetration and the other attempted, as well as two crimes of usurpation of public functions. The agents learned through a complaint filed by a girl who realized that a man forced her into his car and tried to sexually assault her, posing as a law enforcement officer.

The events occurred about 00:30 hours last Friday, in Manacor street, from Palma, when a girl was walking her dog accompanied by her sister, at one point her sister stopped to talk to a neighbor and the victim continued walking alone.

The woman noticed that a man was looking at her and decided to turn the street, checking how the man was following her, until the moment when he identified himself as a police officer, asking for the documentation, to which the man began to question her asking where she lived and what she was doing there.

The woman explained that she was in the company of her sister and that she had come aboard her vehicle, at which point the man forced her to take him to the vehicle, both of them getting into it.

The man started driving, telling him that lhe had drugs on him and he was going to accuse her of carrying it. The woman became very nervous and distressed by the situation, until the moment when the man He told her that they were going to hang out and that he would have to undress her. The woman began to cry, entering a nervous state and He began to kick the vehicle, getting the man to get out of the vehicle and leave the area, and the woman asked the police for help.

The group of robberies of the National Police took charge of the investigation, finding out that there had been a similar event in November of last year, about 17:00, when a man requested the services of a woman who was practicing prostitution, holding a meeting on Manacor street in Palma.

Once in place the man identified himself as an agent of authority, making a series of comments and proposals that led the woman to desist from performing the service, to which the man told her that he was an agent of the authority making threats against the woman whom he warned would have serious problems.

At one point He grabbed the woman tightly by the arm and forcibly and intimidated her into the meter room of the portal of a farm where he undressed her and forced her to have sexual relations, making use of violence at all times.

When the sexual assault was over, the man threw her on the ground where He gave him several blows that hit various parts of his body. The victim could only protect himself with his arms, until his attacker left the place in a hurry.

The victim was very affected by what happened, fearing that the man could retaliate if he denounced him since he was convinced that he was an agent of the authority, although he alerted several co-workers of what happened through a chat to prevent them from suffering an assault like yours.

The agents began an investigation in which identify the alleged perpetrator, obtaining evidences and evidence that incriminated him in the two events, proceeding to his arrest on Monday afternoon as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of illegal detention, two crimes of sexual assault, one attempted and two crimes of usurpation of functions.

The detainee has police record for similar events, one of them in 1999, where he allegedly held a woman who was a prostitute, handcuffing her with a tape and threatening her. The other in 2014, where he allegedly sexually assaulted a masseuse, eventually entering prison.

The alleged perpetrator has gone to court this morning. The investigation remains open since it is not ruled out that there could be more victims.
