The All-In-Ones can also be “eco-conscious”. That’s at least what it shows Acer Veriton Vero All-In-Onea desktop computer in a very attractive format for those who want to avoid the traditional “boxes” and that also stands out for its commitment to the environment that we already saw, for example, in its Acer Aspire Vero.
In addition to using recycled materials in part of its development, the team is a more than interesting option to work with even in demanding scenarios: It is possible to integrate a powerful 12th generation Intel Core i9 and up to 64 GB of RAM.
Recycled materials abroad…
The equipment, they indicate in Acer, is oriented especially to companies “with an ecological mentality”, but in reality any user with that interest and who look for an All-in-One format for your work team you can take very good advantage of this proposal.
The Veriton Vero AIO stands out of course for being composed of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materialand it comes with a keyboard and mouse that are also made of this material.
The packaging is 100% recyclable and, to prolong its life cycle, the back cover, without screwsit can be easily removed for upgrades or repairs.
The team has promising specifications in some sections. The 24-inch IPS screen it’s not too remarkable in terms of specifications (Full HD, 60 Hz), but it does have three levels of blue light filter.
There is also the detail of having fine bevels and the possibility of mount it on a wall using a VESA mount and thus save even more space on the desktop.
Things get interesting in its internal configuration, which can reach include a 12th generation Intel Core i9a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX550 graphics card and up to 64 GB of 3200 MHz DDR4 memory, taking advantage of a dual-channel configuration.
There is also good news for storage, and we will be able to add two M.2 drives that allow you to choose up to 2 TB of capacity. Connectivity is guaranteed with the support of the Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) standard, and we also have a good variety of ports, including USB-C with USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface.
The webcam is another interesting element: it has a 5 MP sensor that closes to hide sensitive data, and can be turned towards the user for video callsor to the room to show a group in group video calls.
This folding module also has a IR scanner for facial recognition and Windows Hello technology, and there’s even a Tobii Aware smart sensor that locks and blurs the screen if another user tries to access it.
Other “eco-conscious” products
The Acer catalog has also seen innovations in other products with this focus on sustainability and respect for the environment. The Acer Aspire Vero has been renewed both in its 14 and 15.6-inch variant.
Now these computers include 12th generation Intel Core processors and is available in both the already interesting “Cobblestone” gray color and in blue (for the 14″) and black (for the 15.6″). Both will be available from August 2022 from 899 euros.
We also have two monitors of 23.8 and 27 inches, both with Full HD resolution and an “eco design” made up of 85% PCR plastic and 5% ocean bound plastic (OBP). They will be available in the third quarter from 269 and 399 euros respectively.
There is also a curious addition: the Acer Vero PD2325W projector, which also makes use of 50% PCR plastic in its chassis and 8% recycled paper in its packaging. Its LED lamp has a useful life of up to 30,000 hours and offers savings of up to 50% when compared to mercury lamps.
This model has resolution WXGA (1280 x 800), 2,200 lumens and 2,000,000:1 contrast. Automatic Auto Keystone Correction prevents vertical distortions. It will be available in the third quarter for 549 euros.
Lastly are the Vero mouse and keyboard which also aim to reduce waste and carbon emissions. They use 65% PCR plastic, and bond their bottom cover together using 30% OBP plastic. The keys and buttons of both are silent and are offered in different tones. The mouse and keyboard pack will be available in November 2022 for 69.99 euros.
