Adele has postponed her Las Vegas residency due to COVID-related production delays, the singer announced a day before her first show began.
“I am very sorry, but my program is not ready” Adele said in an emotional video posted on Twitter. Thursday. “We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together on time and to make it good enough for you, but delivery delays and COVID have completely wrecked us – half my team has COVID, they still are – and it has been impossible to finish the show”.
She added: “I can’t give you what I have right now.”
The “Easy on Me” singer added that she was “gutted” by the last-minute cancellation. Her Las Vegas residency, titled “Weekends with Adele” and announced in November, was scheduled to begin Friday at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and continue through April.
caesar’s palace said on his website Thursday night that all events originally scheduled for “Weekends with Adele” from January 21 to April 16 “have been postponed.”
“We’ve been up for over 30 hours trying to figure it out, and we’re out of time,” Adele said. “I’m so upset, and really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone who has traveled.”

Following Adele’s announcement, Caesars Palace issued a statement in support of the pop star and the “extraordinary” shows she will present in due course.
“We understand the disappointment surrounding the postponement,” the statement read. “Adele is an incredible artist, supremely dedicated to her music and her fans.”
“Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex,” the statement said.
Andrea Pérez is among the many fans who traveled to see Adele’s first weekend. He arrived from Mexico City on Thursday afternoon and found out about the cancellation after arriving at Caesars Palace.
“First we were going to see Celine Dion and then she canceled and now Adele,” he said, standing in front of the Colosseum box office. “I love Adele. I love all his songs. But I think it’s not a good idea to tell people (about a cancellation) a day before.”
Perez said that she would not be able to return once Adele announces new dates. “It is impossible.”
In her video, Adele said her shows are being rescheduled and vowed to “take it where it’s supposed to be.”
Eilnee Colbert, 51, flew in from Atlanta on Thursday morning and was on the Las Vegas Strip getting a COVID test to attend the show when a friend texted the news.
Although disappointed, Colbert, who was wearing a t-shirt from Adele’s 2016 tour, remains steadfast in her fandom.
“Her talent is otherworldly. Her voice is indescribable. And she’s just lovable and a great role model for her generation,” Colbert said.

She and three friends from across the country purchased opening night tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program; they are hoping that the rescheduled dates will allow them to attend the new opening night show.
“As much as we hated to see her message, it speaks to who she is as a person,” Colbert said. “We have the flexibility to pay for another trip, so we’ll be there.”
Caesars Palace said in a cheep Thursday that concertgoers and guests with hotel reservations at a Ceasars hotel on January 21 or 22 “can cancel for a full refund.”
The concert series in Las Vegas marked the first live performance dates open to the public following the release of Adele’s fourth studio album, “30,” which became her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. as the best-selling album of the year, according to Billboard.
