Aemet: Day without rain in Extremadura, where the minimum temperatures will drop and the maximum will rise

thermometers will range between 3 and 21 degrees in Badajoz, as well as between 3 and 18 degrees in Cáceres

The autonomous community of Extremadura will register this Wednesday, the 9th, intervals of medium and high cloudiness, as well as minimum temperatures in a slight decrease and maximum temperatures in a slight increase.

In this way, specifically, the thermometers will range between 3 and 21 degrees in Badajoz, as well as between 3 and 18 degrees in Cáceres.

For its part, the winds will blow from the southwest or variable, loose, according to the prediction announced by the State Meteorological Agency.

At the national level

The occasional and scattered rains will affect Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands this Wednesday and during the day another front will arrive in Galicia that will cause coastal phenomena and strong waves, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency.

Thus, the Aemet has warned Pontevedra and La Coruña due to the risk of coastal phenomena as a result of the south wind that will blow strongly 7 especially in the afternoon and will leave combined seas from the west or northwest occasionally of 4 to 5 meters. In addition, in the Strait it has also activated the yellow warning for winds from Levante with force 7 that will affect Cádiz.

In general, in Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands instability will continue and occasional showers are expected, more likely and storms are not ruled out during the morning on the coasts and during the afternoon in the interiors.

In addition, a new inactive Atlantic front will arrive, will penetrate from the northwest and will leave slightly cloudy skies and rains in Galicia and the western Cantabrian mountain range. Nor does it rule out that in a more isolated way they spread further to the east, although it stresses that the most probable and abundant ones will occur in western Galicia, where it is not ruled out that they are locally persistent.

In the rest of the Peninsula, the skies will be cloudy or with cloudy intervals of medium and high clouds, which will be more abundant in the northern half. Evolution clouds are expected in much of the eastern interior of the peninsula and there will be the possibility of some showers in mountainous areas of Catalonia and the Valencian Community.

Meanwhile, in the Canary Islands, the Aemet forecasts cloudy intervals and scattered cloudiness with showers on islands with greater relief.

Although with low probability and with insignificant accumulations, it does not rule out that it could snow from 1,200 to 1,400 meters in the Pyrenees; from 1,000 or 1,200 meters in the western Cantabrian mountain range and rising throughout the day to a height of 1,400 to 1,800 meters.

On the other hand, it does not rule out the possibility of morning fog in the northwest of the northern plateau, in the mountains of the center and north, as well as in the depressions of the northeast and west of Andalusia.

Regarding temperatures, it is expected that in the interior of the Peninsula and in the Bay of Biscay the thermometers will rise during the day and the minimum will drop, although without major changes in the rest of the areas. In the northern plateau, frosts are expected, as in the Iberian system, in the eastern half of the southern plateau and in the mountains of the southeast. The most intense, however, will occur in the Pyrenees.

Finally, it reports that the winds will blow from the southwest and from the south in the northwest quadrant, that there will be strong intervals on the west coast of Galicia and that there may be some strong gusts in the Cantabrian mountain range and in the western Pyrenees. In the rest of the Peninsula, winds from the south and southeast will predominate, while in the Strait and Alborán, Levante winds will blow at strong intervals. In the Canary Islands the trade wind regime will be maintained.
