The fantastic in its many variants demonstrates the extent to which it encompasses very different styles and subgenres in this month’s selection for Prime Video, Movistar Plus+ and Filmin: from the cyberpunk science fiction of ‘The Peripheral’ to the spectral sitcom of ‘Fantasmas’ passing by the chilling total dissolution of the reality of ‘Anomalisa’. Fantasies about the past, the future and the present, of all shades and for all tastes.

‘The Peripheral’
A host of A-list names come together in this new sci-fi series starring Chloë Grace Moretz: ‘Westworld’ creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy; Nuromancer author William Gibson as writer of the novel on which the series is based; and Vincenzo Natali, director of ‘Cube’, signs the start of production. It describes how a woman investigates what happened to her family thanks to devices that allow her to enter alternative realities that are nothing more than glimpses of possible futures.
