Russian forces they would have killed the American journalist Brent Renaud in an attack in Irpin, on the outskirts of Kiev, as reported by the police chief of the Kiev region, Andrii Nebitov, and reported by the Ukrainian press. ‘The New York Times’ has confirmed the death of the reporter, who carried an old newspaper accreditation because he worked for this medium in the past.

The 50-year-old journalist, shot dead, was not the only victim, another reporter managed to survive and was taken to a hospital. something that has been confirmed a few minutes later by the American newspaper.
“The invaders kill even international media journalists who are trying to show the truth of the atrocities of Russian troops in Ukraine,” Nebitov said in a Facebook post.
“Today, a 51-year-old correspondent of the famous newspaper ‘The New York Times’ He was shot dead in Irpin. Another journalist has been injured. Right now we are trying to get the victim out of the combat zone,” Nebitov said.

The post features a photo of Renaud’s ID and another of his passport confirming that he is a US citizen.
Renaud, according to his Twitter biography, was a documentary maker who with his brother directed Renaud Brothersan audiovisual production company that works with HBO, NBC, Discovery and PBS television, as well as media such as The New York Times and ViceNews.
The event that was also confirmed on social networks by the country’s Parliament, showing photos of the victim, whose death has not yet been confirmed by the newspaper.
