It’s all to play for at the Emirates, as Arsenal take on Wolves. The Gunners could move within one spot of the Champions League places, with games in hand, if they were to win.
A victory for the visitors, though, would take Bruno Lage’s side a point clear of tonight’s hosts. With Tottenham slipping up against Brentford, both sides will be hoping to push home the advantage in this game.
It’s only two weeks since the sides met in the reverse fixture. Gabriel’s first half goal was enough to earn Arsenal the three points, with the North London outfit putting on a strong rearguard action after going down to 10 men. Arsenal felt aggrieved after Gabriel Martinelli was sent off for two yellow card offenses within the space of a few seconds, and their relief at the final whistle turned into jubilant scenes.
Their hosts were less than impressed with the celebrations, and will be looking to replicate those scenes tonight by taking all three points back home with them. Arsenal’s strong form at the Emirates will make it a tough task, but Lage’s outfit have proved to be a tough nut to crack this season.
Both managers look set to have more or less their full complement of players available for this game. With the race for the European places taking twist after twist, this game could be pivotal for both these teams’ seasons.

Goals could be hard to come by in this fixture, with Wolves scoring the third-fewest in the entire league this term and Arsenal with a lack of center forwards.
As with the cagey affair at Molineux two weeks ago, Arteta’s men have shown a real desire to grind out narrow victories, so expect the game to be tight at the Emirates on Thursday.
Emile Smith Rowe may be a hot tip to get on the scoresheet for the Gunners, with the youngster scoring nine times in the Premier League this season. On the other hand, Raul Jimenez has impressed for Wolves since coming back from his well-documented injury problems, managing to record nine goal contributions in 2021/22.
One moment of brilliance may decide this fixture, with both sides capable of putting in solid defensive performances on a regular basis.
