Aslan expects a growth of the ICT sector of 9%

On the occasion of the presentation of a new edition of the @aslan Congress, which will take place on May 18 and 19, the main executives of the Association released their first report “Representativeness of the ICT Industry in Spain”, in which It offers a panoramic view of a market that expects to grow significantly in all segments and company sizes, with the Next Generation EU Funds being one of the assets for this increase. The impact of these funds is expected to lead to a double-digit increase in turnover in the upper sector.

Taking into account the billing volume and the forecast growth percentage, the Next Funds are expected to generate a direct impact of €673 million in the billing of companies associated with @aslan. Beyond the European funds, the expected growth of the companies for this year could exceed 9%. Moreover, 51% of associated companies think that it will grow between 15% and 40% this year.

The report, in which IT manufacturers, operators, data centers, integrators, large distributors and cloud service providers have participated, reflects the increasing importance of Spain for the technology industry. 43% of the companies associated with @aslan are based in our country. Next, the United States (27%), the United Kingdom (6%) and France (6%). Likewise, it is highlighted that 84% of the companies dedicated to ICT integration are Spanish. In the case of manufacturers, more than 73% originate in other countries.

Ricardo Maté, president of @aslan, has highlighted the Association’s representation of the entire ICT value chain to contribute to the digital transformation of all organizations: “The @aslan ecosystem has enough capillarity not only to reach large companies, but also small and medium-sized companies, which continues to be one of the great digitization challenges in this country.”

Multisector Program: make the most of European aid

Given the importance of taking advantage of the Next Generation EU Funds, the Association @aslan has launched the new Multisectoral Program for 2022-2024, in parallel with the execution of the aid. The objective is to mobilize the entire ICT value chain and digital transformation teams from the public and private sectors to contribute to the recovery, transformation and resilience of the national economy.

The Program will count for its execution with the collaboration of Groups of Experts of the more than 160 companies associated with @aslan and directors of technology and innovation of strategic sectors, in addition to being supported by the Consultative Council for Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and the Digitaliza Madrid Advisory Council of the Community of Madrid, of which the Association is a member. Among the main actions will be the generation of sectoral reports, the organization of colloquiums and networking meetings with those responsible for innovation or agreements with organizations committed to the dissemination of new technologies.

Francisco Verderas, secretary general of @aslan, commented on the importance of mobilizing the entire ecosystem: “Governments have marked a technology-based recovery strategy as one of the pillars. Success will depend on the value chain that – from the manufacturer and then through integrators and service providers – makes companies transform and digitize. Without the revitalization of this ecosystem, success will not be achieved”.

News CONGRESS #ASLAN2022: all the exhibition space occupied

Digital innovation and cybersecurity will be the protagonists of the 29th edition of the Congress & EXPO ASLAN 2022 (May 18 and 19 in Madrid). An appointment for which the exhibition space is complete, as well as the number of sponsors and has forced reservations to be opened for 2023. The objective is the participation of more than 7,500 professional visitors. The event expects to exceed more than 150 speakers and 125 exhibitors.

This year’s program includes two forums dedicated to Cybersecurity and Digital Innovation, the V AAPP Meeting and the IV National Meeting of IT Managers from key sectors (part of the Multisectorial Program), as well as conferences focused on the five topics of the congress: Data Management, Cybersecurity, Digital Workspace, Cloud Datacenter and Intelligent Networks.

Among the novelties, the Cybersecurity for SMEs room where cybersecurity and digitization experts from both public entities and private companies will participate, showing the opportunities that it opens up for technological partners and digitizing agents to include managed cybersecurity services in their value proposition for SMEs.

The vice-president of the @aslan Association, Pedro Fernández de Córdoba, pointed out in his speech: “The congress is the main technology B2B event, with more than 125 companies as sponsors and exhibitors. It is the congress with the most representation of technology companies in Spain. This year it will be done in person, although there will be digital content available to the professional public“.
