Australia Wallabies v Argentina: 2020 Tri Nations rugby – live! | Sport

Kick off!

Argentina XV

Hello everyone and welcome to the live coverage of Australia v Argentina on matchday six of the 2020 Tri-Nations series. Kick-off at Bankwest Stadium in Sydney is at 7.45pm local time.

Tonight marks the end of the Tri Nations series, hastily staged but largely successful. Unfortunately, we’re facing a dead rubber in the context of the series (unless the Wallabies can erase a 101 point difference deficit), but that doesn’t mean there’s not much at stake. The last time these sides met, they achieved a 15-15 no-attempt draw, so there is a chance that one country will take the lead in the 2020 ledger.

Australia is still in the early stages of Dave Rennie’s tenure as head coach, so the more exposure you have from your troops, the better prepared they will be for more urgent tasks. While for the Pumas, a tour that featured a historic win over the All Blacks and a back-to-the-wall draw against the Wallabies deserves a fitting ending. After taking a beating at the hands of New Zealand the last time, they won’t want to leave Australian shores with their tails between their legs.

But after a controversial week (more on that later) Argentina will not have its XV in full force in the park. Australia, on the other hand, is establishing a family unit and will be able to call up James O’Connor in the fifth eighth in a match he will enjoy after a series of games against New Zealand.

I’ll be back in no time with lineups and all that. If you want to get in touch at any time, you can reach me at Twitter Or email.
