The Bengals, meanwhile, ended their league-worst 31-year playoff victory drought earlier in January and are looking to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1988 season. The two teams already met in Week 17, with the Bengals serving up a surprising 34-31 victory. Rayo is based in Madrid and the women's team plays in the First Division. In the recording, which The Guardian has heard, Santiso tells his staff: “This staff is incredible, but there are things that we still lack, that we still need. We need, I keep saying, to do something like what Arandina's did, uncle, ”he add...

Lindsey Graham on J. Michelle Childs: Senator Praises Potential Supreme Court Nominee

"I can't think of a better person for President Biden to consider for the Supreme Court than Michelle Childs. She has wide support in our state, is considered a very talented and impartial jurist. She's a good character and we'll see how she does if she gets nominated. But I can't say anything bad about Michelle Childs. Ukraine: west’s fears of imminent attack not shared in Kyiv | Ukraine

Britain's politicians and intelligence chiefs have stepped up warnings about the likelihood of a Russian invasion of Ukraine over the past week, yet it is not clear, despite a drumbeat of activity, that a military attack is any more certain. That drumbeat has been matched in Washington, but, significantly, the concern is not shared in Kyiv. As Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said on Friday, high tensions with Russia are not new “We have been in the situation for eight years,” he said. The analysis in Ukraine diverges from the west's assessment of the crisis as primarily a military one. The belief in Kyiv is that Vladimir Putin's goal is the long-term destabilization of Ukraine, and that the Russian leader may have other objectives than invasion. However, Liz Truss, the British ...

Trump pardon promise for Capitol rioters ‘stuff of dictators’ – Nixon aide | donald trump

Donald Trump's promise to pardon supporters who attacked the US Capitol on January 6 2021 was “the stuff of dictators”, Richard Nixon's White House counsel warned.Trump made the promise at a rally in Conroe, Texas, on Saturday.“If I run and if I win,” he said, referring to the 2024 presidential election, “we will treat those people from January 6 fairly. We will treat them fairly. And if it requires pardons, we will give them pardons because they are being treated so unfairly.”More than 700 people have been charged in connection with the Capitol attack, around which seven people died as Trump supporters tried to stop certification of his election defeat, in service of his lie that it was caused by electoral fraud. More than 100 police officers were hurt.Eleven members of the far-righ...

Mohamed Salah makes the difference in Egypt’s fightback victory over Morocco | Africa Cup of Nations 2022

A solid defense plus Mohamed Salah equals progress. It might not be particularly edifying or good to watch but it does seem to work. This was a dismal game, two hours of spoiling with a dusting of football but, in the football that was played, Salah was decisive. He scored the equalizer and set up the winner, so Egypt will meet Cameroon in Thursday's semi-final, a meeting of the two most successful sides in Cup of Nation's history.Egypt had ground their way to this stage, scoring only twice in four games. That's the way it has always been for Carlos Queiroz and for all the success it has brought him, it can threaten to come unstuck if his side concedes early. Here they were behind inside six minutes, and it would have been earlier but for a weirdly extended VAR check. Ayman Ashraf...

How Verizon and AT&T users benefit from C-Band 5G wireless service

Reddit users have been posting C-Band speed tests showing downloads of 400 Mbps to 800 Mbps.Rural users may, however, still find themselves in a low-band 5G slow lane.AT&T supports C-Band on the same phones as Verizon, plus Google's Pixel 6 series. It may be hard to imagine after weeks of drama over new C-Band 5G wireless possibly interfering with aircraft radar altimeters, but C-Band is also a thing on the ground. And for AT&T and Verizon users in the right places, it can be a good thing. The mid-band frequencies those carriers lit up Jan. 19, with downloads of multiple hundreds of megabits per second, help fill a gap between millimeter-wave 5G with exceptionally fast speeds in exceptionally few places and low-band 5G that reached far wider but didn't run much faster than 4G.C-Band's up...
