Barça celebrates the golden anniversary of the ‘culer temple’

The golden anniversary does not happen every day. And Barça wanted to celebrate the 50 years of the Palau Blaugrana with an emotional act with many of the legends who contributed to the conquest of 382 official titles.

The event was attended by President Joan Laporta, with relatives of Agustí Montal, the president who inaugurated the pavilion on October 23, 1971 and the architects Francisco Caballero and Josep Soteras. But the protagonists were some of the heroes of these five decades, who recalled the epic and emotion of unforgettable battles.

After his speeches and a video with the best moments of these five decades, Laporta closed the event. “We are the best sports center in the world,” he stressed, noting that of the 43 European Cups, 37 sections were from sections. “It is clear that the atmosphere of the Palau has a lot to do with it.”
