From the Camp Nou to the offices. As soon as the match with Dynamo Kiev ended, Ansu Fati moved to the office of Joan Laporta to sign its renewal until 2027, with a clause of 1,000 million euros. Barça was in a hurry to formalize that agreement, reached last Monday in Porto at the meeting between Mateu alemany, director of Barça football, and Jorge Mendes, the forward’s agent.
The board was in such a rush that the 18-year-old got dressed quickly after playing the second half against Dinamo. And just at the time when Koeman, his coach, was asking in the press room of the Camp Nou, “calm” with the expectations that have been generated around his figure.
“I am very happy to continue in this club that I love so much. Very happy for me and my family,” said the young man who came to the offices with his entire family, as well as Mendes, his representative. “I am very grateful for the opportunity that they are giving me,” said Ansu Fati, who will appear this Thursday at noon at the Auditori 1899 together with Laporta.
He said Koeman that “Ansu cannot perform miracles”. The technician said that he cannot occupy the void left by Messi either. But the club, in need of good news, after a traumatic summer in which the march of Leo to Paris SG and Griezmann to Atlético was closed, activated the entire operation so that the new contract was signed.

And late at night, after the agreement was finalized in the last 72 hours, the news was made official that Ansu signed until 2027, coinciding with the week of the classic (on Sunday Madrid arrives at Camp Nou) and the resumption of the assembly (on Saturday 23) after Laporta decided to postpone it just 20 minutes before Barça-Valencia.

First, Laporta managed to seal the renewal of Pedri until 2027, with a clause of 1,000 million euros. Now, it has also closed the continuity of Ansu. And again with a long-term contract (five and a half years) that give stability to the unstable sports project. At least, the board has managed to secure the two talents who must carry out the rebuilding of the club.
