Every day is margarita day in Houston. But on National Margarita Day, Feb. 22, the city’s favorite lime-drenched tequila cocktail will take on added significance.
Restaurants and bars throughout Greater Houston are putting extra effort into creating margarita cocktails and showcasing their best frozen and on-the-rocks concoctions.
Here are some places with standout margaritas and special margarita pricing:
Spanish Village (pictured above)
New owners of this classic Third Ward Mexican restaurant offer the original Spanish Village Margarita, which hasn’t changed since 1953, for $7.50; $1 more for strawberry, mango or tamarindo flavors. 4720 Almeda; spanishvillagetx.com

A variety of frozen or on the rocks special margaritas available for $9 each all day on National Margarita Day.
