For the second week in a row, the NFL DFS main roster for Sunday afternoon will feature just 10 games. There are six squads in week 7, while six will play in primetime games. That will reduce the number of players and make it a bit more difficult for daily fantasy football players to create DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. That’s one of the reasons stacking will be a great strategy in week 7 tournaments and cash games. It raises the roof of your lineup, but also gives you key lineup differentiation if you choose an interesting mix of teammates.
This week, there are plenty of solid looking stacks to rely on. The calcareous high-floor ones are easier to spot as there are some lopsided clashes that will ensue on Sunday’s slate. There are also a couple of major revenge games in Week 7 that could raise the roof for some already top-tier producers.
As always, pairing a quarterback with a receiver or tight end is the most traditional stacking method. An RB / defender pair is also popular. That said, mixing it up and creating opposing stacks can be worth it and will improve your chances of creating a unique lineup. So if you like a particular team matchup, think of different ways to stack it up.
DraftKings continues to offer more variable pricing than FanDuel. That can be very useful in weeks like this with fewer options, but savvy daily fantasy players should check the prices on both sites. That can help shape the lineup strategy and identify the underrated players and sleepers people should be targeting this week.
Below are some of our favorite teammate sets for this week’s DraftKings and FanDuel lineups. Make sure to follow our Twitter account @ SN_Fantasy to see all of our DFS content on the go every week.

NFL Week 7 DFS Picks: Best Cash Game Stacks for DraftKings, FanDuel
QB Kyler Murray, WR DeAndre Hopkins and TE Zach Ertz, Cardinals vs. Texans (DK / FD stack)
The mismatch between the Cardinals and the Texans is almost unfair. The Cardinals are the only undefeated team in the NFL, while the Texans have won a game, their first game of the season against Urban Meyer’s humble Jaguars. Arizona should dominate this matchup with ease, so you’ll want to be on some Cardinals in this one.
Having Murray is a no-brainer. He’s averaging 290 passing yards, nearly 20 rushing yards and 2.8 total TDs per game for Arizona. He has recorded more than four TDs in three of his six starts, giving him the lead needed for a 30-point game in both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Hopkins is playing a great game of revenge. The Texans traded Hopkins to the Cardinals in exchange for a second-round pick and David Johnson before the 2020 NFL season. It was a steal of a deal considering Hopkins is one of the top five receivers in the NFL, and he will want some revenge on his former team, even with former coach / general manager Bill O’Brien out. Hopkins is averaging just 6.3 goals per game, but he has six TDs and is a candidate for a great game every time he’s on the field.
You can consider any of Murray’s other receiving weapons as the third option in this stack. AJ Green, Christian Kirk and Rondale Moore (and even Chase Edmonds) have all their merits, but we will stick with Ertz. The Texans have given up five TDs to TEs this year. That’s what ties the most in the NFL with the Chargers and the Eagles. Ertz may be new to town, but this is the perfect place for him and Murray to develop chemistry in the field. That could allow Ertz to post some solid numbers.
QB Matthew Stafford, WR Cooper Kupp and WR Robert Woods, Rams vs. Lions (DK / FD stack)
Stafford’s revenge game against the Lions isn’t nearly as compelling as Hopkins’s against the Texans, but surely this is a good place for the Rams’ offense. The Lions are one of the weakest teams in the NFL and their defense is more than burnout. Stafford and Co. should take advantage of that.
Stafford just battered the Giants last week to the tune of 251 yards and four TDs, and the Giants and Lions have allowed eerily similar pass numbers to quarterbacks this year in six games.
Team | Passing yards | Passing TD | Interceptions |
Giants | 1,631 | 14 | 5 |
Lions | 1,623 | 12 | 4 |
As such, it stands to reason that Stafford could have another great game against the Lions, especially if he wants to show off his former team a bit. If you play Stafford, you could also play both Kupp and Woods. Kupp is averaging 11.3 goals, 7.7 receptions, 108.8 receiving yards and 1.2 touchdowns per game this season. Woods hasn’t been as consistent as Kupp, but he’s still posted double-digit DraftKings points in five of the six games he’s played this year. Both have a chance to face the Lions, who are allowing an average of 16.3 yards per reception from receivers this year.
Damien Harris and Patriots D / ST, Patriots vs. Jets (Stack DK / FD)
The last time the Patriots played the Jets, their defense stood out against Zach Wilson. They forced the rookie to make four interceptions, limited New York to six points and scored 19 fantasy points on the DraftKings and FanDuel platforms.
Much of the same can be expected in Week 7. Bill Belichick has largely had rookie quarterbacks over the years, so he should continue to hit Wilson, who has thrown an interception in each of his five. NFL games and has recorded nine total, many problems.
Meanwhile, Harris had 62 rushing yards and a TD against the Jets last time out. That’s not elite, but the numbers are solid. He’s coming off a 100-yard game with a TD and the Patriots are short of RB with James White now out of the season, so Harris could catch a few more passes. That will help you in FD and DK half-point and full-point PPR formats.
Harris and the Patriots D / ST will be a nice and safe combination. They will also be popular as neither one is too expensive so they are only a good match in cash game formats.
WEEK 7 STANDARD RATINGS:

Week 7 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks – Best Stacks for Daily Fantasy Football GPPs / Tournaments
QB Lamar Jackson, RB Latavius Murray (or Devonta Freeman if Murray is unhealthy) and Marquise Brown, Ravens vs. Bengals (DK stack)
Jackson has made five career starts against the Bengals. Most of them have been very successful. He is 5-0 against Cincinnati, and the Ravens have won each of their last three meetings by more than 24 points. The Bengals are certainly better this year than in previous years, but can they contain Jackson? That question has yet to be answered. And the biggest problem they’ve had with him is his ability to fight.
Jackson has logged 87.2 rushing yards per game against the Bengals. He also has two rushing touchdowns. The Bengals rank in the middle in rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks this season at 98, but they have yet to face a true fighter. Trevor Lawernce ran for 36 yards and a TD on them, so it can be done.
This is a good place to bet on a great Jackson game, especially after he let his running backs do much of the work against the Chargers. Speaking of which, you can stack one of the Ravens backs with Jackson as his TD potential is so high. Murray would be our first choice, but he is suffering from an ankle injury. If he can’t recover in time for the game, Freeman likely has more playing time, but Baltimore’s backfield is hard to pin down.
Round out this pile with an explosive, deep-play threat in Brown, and you’ve got a pile with a good mix of high-floor players and high-potential players. Plus, this will give many NFL DFS fans some key lineup differentiation.
RB Aaron Jones, WR Davante Adams & Packers D / ST, Packers vs. Washington (DK / FD Stack)
The D / ST Packers are a sleeper pick this week. It may not be the most exciting option to rely on, but it has posted exactly seven fantasy points in four straight games. The week before that? I was six. The Packers are averaging better than three sacks per game in their last four and have posted an interception in each of their last five.
While Green Bay’s defense is hot, Washington’s offense is decidedly not. He has posted just 13 points against the Chiefs’ worst scoring defense in the NFL last week as quarterback Taylor Heinicke struggled to make plays on the field. It doesn’t seem likely that he will take advantage of Jaire Alexander’s absence, and if Antonio Gibson (shin) can’t play, Washington’s offense will be understaffed.
This has the makings of a potential big win for the Packers, as Washington’s defense has been porous this year. He’s allowed the second-most fantasy points per game for the WRs, so this is a good matchup for Adams, who Aaron Rodgers should attack frequently early in the game. Trusting him and adding Jones, who should get a lot of carries if the Packers get ahead of this one, makes for an interesting stack.
Adams is a slightly opposite pair with Jones and the Packers defense, but it could pay off if the Packers have a great offensive day.
QB Jalen Hurts, WR DeVonta Smith and WR Quez Watkins, Eagles at Raiders (DK / FD stack)
Hurts is becoming a pretty confident quarterback to play in NFL DFS formats. He has at least two touchdowns in all but one game this season and has accumulated four touchdowns on the ground in his last two outings. As long as he’s a close-range scoring threat, he’ll have a chance to pay his slightly above-average DFS price.
The Raiders should be a good matchup for Hurts and the Eagles. They’ve allowed quarterbacks the eighth-most rushing yards since they faced Lamar Jackson in the first game of the season, so we know they’re not the best against moving quarterbacks. Plus, the team is allowing 24 points per game, so the Eagles should be able to score against them.
Pairing Hurts with two receivers may not look very good on paper, as the Raiders have been solid against receivers this year. However, that may be a mirage. They have allowed the second fewest touchdowns at the position this year (three), but have also allowed the 11th most receptions (81) to receivers. At some point, the Raiders could give in and give up a long score. The Eagles have the staff to do it.
Watkins is exactly the type of player who can burn teams on the field. Smith is a good all-around receiver and will give the Raiders some trouble too. Neither is very expensive, so this stack will allow DFS players to spend elsewhere and target some of the best runners on the list.
And if the Raiders defense plays well, the Eagles will still have a chance to rack up late-game numbers in garbage time. Philadelphia spends 62.6 percent of the time, good for the 10th highest rate in the NFL, so these three players will have plenty of opportunities to connect on Sunday.
