After it was officially known last Tuesday that Brian Laundrie’s death was due to suicide, the possibility that the parents of the deceased youth could face charges could be real, This has been assured by experts and lawyers involved in the case.

Former agent Jennifer Coffindaffer, offered statements to News Nation’s Banfield program in which she said that Roberta and Chris Laundrie, parents of the main suspect in Petito’s murder, would face charges mainly for complicity after the fact and for possible manipulation of evidence afterwards. of crime.

This possibility was also described by Rick Stafford, attorney for the Petito family through a statement shared earlier in the week, who suggested that there would be possible charges for additional people, but without mentioning that they could be Laundrie’s parents.

The family was asked not to comment and to let the FBI continue its investigation.Stafford stated. “The family was also asked to wait for the United States Attorney’s Office to make a determination on whether they would charge other people.”

Meanwhile, Steve Bertolino, an attorney for the Laundrie family, testified that when the boy’s parents first reported him missing, they surrendered all their weapons; however, one was missing, reviewed Fox 8.

Likewise, the forensic scientist Larry Koblinsky also believes that members of the Laundrie family would be facing legal trouble.

“I think they might have a problem with helping and inciting Brian Laundrie to evade detection, fleeing from the police,” Koblinsky told the Banfield program,

“Someone may have been helping him, probably his parents, or it could have been someone else we don’t even know,” Koblinsky said. “But then again, most likely (Brian Laundrie) didn’t do this alone. Could have had help. And whoever helped him can be penalized and suffer legal consequences for helping and inciting his escape.

The case that shocked the country had a fatal outcome, after Petito’s body was found in Wyoming, and before the suspicion of her fiancé Brian Laundrie in the case, the search ended in the discovery of the remains of the 23-year-old young man lifeless by suicide.
