THE LAUNCH OF CHELSEA DEADLINE DAY RAPHINHA BIG DEAL
Chelsea are planning to launch a big deadline approach to Leeds to sign star winger Raphinha, a report claims.
The Brazilian star was the subject of a failed £50m bid from West Ham over the weekend. an offer Leeds quickly scrapped.
Now him daily mail he states that the Blues are ready to launch an offer of their own, which will increase the Hammers’ offer.
However, the newspaper admits that Thomas Tuchel’s team will probably have to wait until the summer.
Also, his advances for Raphinha today will be met with the same pushback that the Hammers received.
But that won’t stop Thomas Tuchel’s team in their quest to bring the Brazilian to Elland Road.
In fact, quoting transfer expert Gianluigi Longari, they claim that Raphinha will become the number 1 summer focus for the Blues.
They claim that Tuchel sees Raphinha as the perfect addition to his squad, and the Champions League football offer could help secure the move.
Deadline day swoop looks hard
Additionally, the Blues will be looking to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and possibly Hakim Ziyech to help finance their signing.
However, Leeds has always maintained that its main lighthouse is not for sale.
Furthermore, they remain optimistic that Raphinha will soon sign a new contract at Elland Road to become their record earner.
And with the star currently away with Brazil in international action, Chelsea know a deadline deal looks highly unlikely.
But the Blues will come back in force in the summer in a bid to lure Raphinha and convince Leeds to sell.
