College Football Screenings for Week 13: Ohio State vs. Cincinnati in the semifinals?

With only two weeks left in the college football season, the race for four spots in the playoffs is reduced to eight teams.

That will take place this weekend between four of them. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State meet at Bedlam in a battle of marginal contenders for the college football playoffs. Ohio State faces Michigan in The Game, which is a de facto elimination game with the winner going to the Big Ten championship game.

Of course, Alabama-Georgia is on the horizon, and Cincinnati is trying to hold off Notre Dame even though it already has a head-to-head win.

As it stands, Sporting News sees the playoff landscape unfolding like this. Alabama could lose to Georgia, but Crimson Tide will enter as the No. 4 team and have a rematch. Ohio State and Cincinnati take the other spots and face off in a No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup that will attract high ratings in Buckeye (or Bearcat) state.
