In babies aged one to five years, the discrepancy between the two countries is also evident: Brazil registered 207 deaths by covid-19, while the US counted 52.

The Brazilian figures are also higher than those of the United Kingdom, which recorded only two deaths from coronavirus in babies less than one year old, and those of Mexico, where 307 children between zero and four years old died.
