To do this, at the end of 2021 it published its largest public job offer in decades, intended to cover 5,377 permanent staff positions. This call includes the operational positions for distribution, classification agent and customer service that were generated in both 2020 and 2021. The entrance exams are scheduled to be held in November this year. They will consist of two phases: in the first, the initial selection, tests and assessment of merits will be carried out, while in the second the different jobs offered will be published and the period will be opened to submit applications based on tastes personal.
The own and official contents of the agenda will be published during the first semester of this year. In the selection process, the principles of publicity, merit, capacity and equal treatment of gender will be guaranteed.
Staff as a guarantee of good service
Correos believes in the quality of employment as the basis for offering a good service to its customers and, furthermore, as an essential factor in contributing to the development of society. To this end, in 2020 and 2021 it has reinforced its professional staff, as a result of the 2018-2020 temporary employment stabilization plan signed together with the trade union organizations CCOO, UGT, CSIF and Sindicato Libre.
In this way, in September 2021 it held the exams to incorporate 3,381 people into operational positions throughout Spain, to carry out delivery work in urban and rural areas, logistics tasks and customer service in its offices. In this call, it registered nearly 150,000 applications from interested people who took the exams simultaneously in 160 different places in the country.
On the other hand, during 2020, a total of 4,005 people joined Correos as permanent workers, in the framework of an effort to consolidate a large part of the temporary employment positions that have existed up to now.
Of the 4,005 people hired, 1,896 are dedicated to urban delivery and rural motorized services, 722 are dedicated to urban delivery and non-motorized rural services, 725 work as classification agents and 662 carry out customer service functions. In this case, 166,000 people applied for these positions. Correos offers jobs throughout Spain with more than 60,000 candidates admitted.
