The Basque Country has registered a slight decrease in the new positives, the positivity rate and the accumulated incidence in the last hours. Navarra also continues its downward trend in new infections.
So, Basque Country has registered in the last hours 935 infections of COVID-19 and a rate of 6.5% positivity, the lowest since October 17, with what I know confirms the trend of a certain decline of the pandemic in the autonomous community.
The Department of Health of the Basque Government has announced the evolution of the pandemic this Thursday, the day in which 14,391 diagnostic tests were carried out in which 935 people tested positive, 134 less than Wednesday, a day in which the rate of positives stood at 7.2%.
Since mid-October this rate has not been so low and even at the beginning of November it reached over 10%, with more than 1,400 new infections.
In addition to this positive data, the basic reproductive number, the R0 that indicates how many people a patient can infect, continues to decline and already stands at 0.83.
By province, Álava has registered 109 cases, 412 in Bizkaia, 407 in Gipuzkoa and 7 in people residing outside the Basque Country.
Regarding the situation of the hospitals, yesterday 62 people were admitted to the ward for COVID, and in the ICUs there are currently 135 people with COVID.
Navarra has posted 157 new positives of COVID-19 after the performance of 2370 diagnostic tests (PCR and antigens), according to the provisional data provided by the Provincial Government that must be confirmed during the day.
Its aboutthe sixth consecutive round below 200 cases, despite the fact that, compared to the previous day, there has been a slight rebound (19 more). Despite of high number of tests performed (about 300 more than the day before), the positivity rate remains stable in the 6,6 %.
Regarding the areas or municipalities most affected, Estella returns to top the list with 12 infections. On the threshold of ten cases, Burlada. Tudela Este scores eight cases, while Cascante records seven. Ansoáin, Zizur Mayor and the Pamplona neighborhood of La Chantrea complete the list with six new infections.
