Londoners took tens of thousands of Covid hits in just a few hours on Saturday when the capital’s soccer fields were transformed into mass vaccination centers.

Huge jab clinics have been established at London Stadium, Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Valley, home of Charlton Athletic and Selhurst Park.

Smaller events are being held in community venues in an attempt to vaccinate as many Londoners as possible on what has been dubbed a “super Saturday.”

Young people in the capital were urged to reserve vaccination places as Covid-19 cases are increasing among children and young adults. The number of people infected with the virus is increasing rapidly in England, doubling every 11 days.
