Dell’s Inspiron Plus range has been renewed with several 13, 14 and 16-inch models, and among the presented laptops, that Dell Inspiron 16 Plus (2022) It has some interesting improvements.

A classic laptop to the max

There are no revolutions in the Dell Inspirons of the Plus family. We are facing equipment with a sober and classic design in which screens with 16:10 format stand out that allow scratching some pixels in the vertical resolution and that are notable for their resolution and their Dolby Vision (HDR) support but not so much for a maximum brightness of 300 nits.

The Inspiron Plus series comes equipped with hardware ComfortView Plus, a low blue light solution that reduces harmful blue light emissions without sacrificing true color. In addition, with its dimming technology that reduces blinking, the eyes will not suffer, according to this manufacturer, the consequences of spending long periods in front of the computer.

The hdd webcam built-in features a temporal noise reduction system and HDR support. Dual microphones with echo cancellation and AI-based noise reduction help to reduce background noise in video conferences. We also have a webcam privacy shutter.

The Inspiron 16 Plus’s audio features Dolby Atmos support. This equipment has four speakerstwo “up-firing” and two “down-firing” to provide loud, clear, unmuffled sound according to the manufacturer.

That screen diagonal gives plenty of room for the keyboard, full-size, and touchpad. That touch panel, which is almost completely camouflaged with the design of the equipment, is also very spacious. The palm rest and touchpad, made of edge-to-edge material, provide a smooth work surface.

The hardware configuration is based on the high-performance Intel Core i7-21700H processors, accompanied by up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of SSD. The starting graphics are the Intel Iris Xe of these chips, but we can also opt for an RTX 3050 or even an RTX 3060 that will allow us to have room for maneuver both in the field of content creation and even in video games.

Port selection is interesting for that clear commitment to USB-A ports above even the only USB-C port with Thunderbolt 4 interface. The presence of the HDMI 2.0 port and the SD or microSD reader (if we opt for the model with the RTX 3060) completes a decent offer.

The Inspiron range brings more models

In addition to the cited model, Dell has presented the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus with similar features but in a more compact form factor.

We also have the Inspiron “not Plus” 13, 14, 16 inch and even an Inspiron 2-in-1. They all feature Windows 11, 12th Gen Intel Core processors, or AMD Ryzen 5000 with AMD Radeon graphics.

In all of them we have screens with 16:10 format and narrow edges. The resolutions vary, but in these teams we have the FullHD webcam and dual microphones with noise reduction technology.

For added flexibility, the new Inspiron 14 2-in-1 features a 14% larger touch panel than its predecessor, providing additional space for navigation. There is also support for the active pen, with which we can take notes or draw when using the device in tablet mode.

The new Inspiron 14 Plus and Inspiron 16 Plus are now available in EMEA, and so are the new Inspiron 16, 14, 13 and Inspiron 14 2-in-1s. Pricing varies by model and configuration, but the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus part of the 1,449 euros.
