Dennis Quaid and his wife Laura Savoie turned heads as they walked the red carpet at the 2022 CMT Music Awards in Tennessee on Monday evening.
The Hollywood star and his partner attended the ceremony, an annual fan-voted awards show for country music videos and television performances, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, along with a star-studded contingent including Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and LeAnn Rimes.
Veteran Houston-born actor Dennis, 68, who is best known for performances in films such as Far From Heaven, The Parent Trap and Any Given Sunday, looked super-sharp in a black outfit with a silver dinner jacket, and striking shiny patterned shoes.
Laura, who at 29 is 39 years younger than her husband, looked lovely in a black jumpsuit, her blonde locks worn tousled over her shoulders.
Dennis and Laura, a PhD Student at The University of Texas at Austin and the actor’s fourth wife, tied the knot in June 2020 after they began dating in May 2019.
Dennis has previously said that neither of them is bothered by their sizeable age gap.
He told the Today show in July 2020 shortly after their nuptials: ‘There’s 30-something years between us, and we just don’t even notice it,’
‘I’ve never related to someone in my life better than we do.
‘We have such a great relationship and you know, love finds a way, wherever it is. You never know when love is coming, who it’s gonna be, and you have no control over it. We just couldn’t be happier.’
The actor is gearing up to star in another biopic, Reagan, in the lead role of 40th President Ronald Reagan in the movie Reagan.
Dennis’ marriage to Laura is his fourth, having previously been wed to Kimberly Buffington from 2004 and 2018, Meg Ryan from 1991-2001, and to P.J. Soles from 1978 until 1983.
He’s father to son Jack, 29, with Meg, and to twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, who he shares with second wife Kimberly.
Meg and Dennis had Jack in 1992 before they announced their separation in 2000 and divorced the following year.
He began dating real estate agent Kimberly and they married in 2004, welcoming twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace via surrogate in 2007.
The on-off couple split several times over the course of their romance, with both parties filing for divorce on separate occasions, but in 2016, they split for good, with their divorce being finalised in 2018.
Meanwhile, Laura previously dated Entourage star Jeremy Piven.
