A security expert assures us that a relative of one of the richest men in mexico, who walks with disdained naturalness and without the usual escort through one of the wealthiest areas of Mexico City, it does so knowing that if it is automatically attacked by several drones, they will take off from the adjacent streets to go in search of any possible aggressor, surround them, and later reduce them to ashes in a matter of seconds. A clean, sophisticated and ultra-technological attack led by your security team that monitors your boss’s steps from a discreet, and safe, distance. Now drug traffickers, and specifically the Infobae portal associates it with the Jalisco Cartel, are targeting targets for the first time with drones that launch remote-controlled explosives indiscriminately towards homes.

“This video is not recorded in Yemen o SiriaIt is Tepalcatepec (Michoacán) », reads a tweet that shares the most chilling images of a war zone. During the attack with these drones, which launch C-4 type explosive charges, it can be seen how the residents who live in the huts to which they are directed flee in terror in different directions before the detonations fall on their heads.

They are not the only ones, in this town of Tepalcatepec, with just 35,000 inhabitants, the State Table for the Construction of Peace in Michoacán has verified that some three thousand citizens have been displaced due to the different confrontations between the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and United Cartels, as reported by Uno TV. Residents of the communities of El Bejuco and La Romera, close to the attack, fled the conflict zone. In the incident with drones, only one inhabitant was injured, although the attack continued with gunmen armed with assault rifles in search of the National Guard. The local authorities, together with citizens of the area, managed to shoot down the drone and get hold of the shocking images. The locals have warned that three days later the clashes continued.

Last December in the same state of Michoacán, in Chinicuila, an attack lasted 24 hours in a row with the aim of displacing the population. about a few 350,000 Mexicans have been forced to leave from 2009 to 2020, while between 2020 and 2021 they estimate that 37,000 citizens have been forced to leave their place of residence with the states of Guerrero, Jalisco and Michoacan as the most affected. As the Political Expansión newspaper points out, the Mexican Commission for the Defense and Promotion of Human Rights highlights these territories for the fraudulent operations of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, the Pacific Cartel and the Michoacan Family.

These displaced people usually end up in Mexican border states for later make the leap to the United States. This is reflected in the 1.7 million arrests made by US immigration authorities from October 2020 to September 2021, of which 37% have affected migrants from the Mesoamerican country. And it is that millions of Mexicans will have to leave their homes forced by violence.

Despite the fact that the Chamber of Deputies has discussed and approved the ‘General Law to prevent, attend to and comprehensively repair the forced displacement‘ internal that establishes the obligations of the three orders of government to prevent and attend to this crisis, the norm is in the analysis phase in the Senate. President López Obrador has recognized the problem, however, Mexico continues without a clear legal system in this regard.
