Ecomuevex will allow electric and hybrid vehicles to be tested at El Faro de Badajoz

This Friday and Saturday an exhibition is held in Badajoz where four city dealers will carry sustainable models from eight different brands

Friday and Saturday Ecomuevex 2022, an exhibition that will take place in the El Faro shopping center in Badajoz. In addition to being able to consult doubts about this type of vehicle and the aid that exists today for its acquisition, it will be possible to try some of the electric or hybrid cars that are on the market, an experience that will surely help more than one to take the step .

This is the first sample of Ecomuevex and will take place this Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21, with the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Badajoz. In the parking lot of the El Faro shopping center, exhibitors will be set up for the participants, who are four dealers from Badajoz who sell one or more brands.

Each of them will bring two vehicles to this event in which specialized technicians from the Provincial Council will explain the initiatives they have carried out around electric vehicles. The attending dealers and brands will be Audi and Volkswagen (Centrowagen); Toyota (Trevauto); Kia, Peugeot, Cupra and Seat (Gedauto); and Hyundai (Maven and Sons).

The Extremaduran community supports the use of the electric vehicle, as does the Government of Spain and in Ecomuevex those interested will be able to calculate the aid that they can request both as individuals and as companies.

Provincial Movem Plan

Another important step in this area has been that of the Diputación de Badajoz with the Mobility Plan for Electric Vehicles in Municipalities (Movem), a “pioneering” plan that placed the province as a reference by allocating seven million euros for this type of vehicle .

The first action consisted of the delivery of 200 electric vehicles at the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019, in which six million euros were invested. Of these vehicles, 180 of them were for services provided by the municipalities and 20 to be used in different areas of the Provincial Council.

The second action of this plan, which has involved one million euros, has been the start-up of this network of recharging points for electric vehicles, which is made up of 32 charging stations in total, nine of them fast-charging (50 kw ) and 23 semi-fast charging (22 kw).

Specifically, the first 25 charging stations to come into service were the fast ones in Badajoz, Navalvillar de Pela, San Pedro de Mérida, Villafranca de los Barros, Villanueva de la Serena and Zafra, as well as the semi-fast ones in Azuaga, Cabeza del Ox, Calamonte, Campanario, Campillo de Llerena, Castuera, La Cocosa farm, Don Benito, Fregenal de la Sierra, Guareña, Herrera del Duque, Hornachos, Oliva de la Frontera, Puebla de la Calzada, Puebla de Obando, Santa Marta de los Barros, San Vicente de Alcántara and Talarrubias.
