Ed Sheeran tested positive for COVID-19 before the release of his new album

Ed Sheeran never thought that sooner or later he would catch the coronavirus, mainly because the singer he was getting ready for the premiere of his fifth album. A few hours ago, the 30-year-old British artist shared through a statement this Sunday that tested positive for COVID-19 and he is isolated in his home in Suffolk, eastern England.

“Quick note to tell you that I have unfortunately tested positive for Covid so I am now isolated and following government guidelines. It means that I am now unable to go through with any commitments in person for now, so I will do my planned interviews / presentations as I can from home. Apologies to all those who have disappointed, be sure x ”.

Ed Sheeran’s fifth album, which is titled ‘=’, it was one of the record projects most anticipated by fans by the British artist, as it contains the singles ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Shivers’. Also, Ed Sheeran was scheduled to meet this week with Zane Lowe, record producer for Apple Music, to finalize details regarding your new EP, and furthermore, he was going to answer all the questions from fans with the release of ‘=’.

Later, Ed Sheeran performed last Sunday October 17 in London during the Eartshot awards ceremony, some awards given to all those people who care for and preserve the good health of planet earth, which were organized by Prince William and Catherine.

Notably Ed Sheeran had walked away from the stage in the summer of 2020 due to the birth of his daughter and planned to start next year with various concerts in the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Central Europe, as well as putting on a show at Wembley Stadium, England.
