Eight communities should have closed the interior of their bars to overcome the high risk of contagion




The increase in the transmission of the virus has caused that eight communities and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla are already at high risk of contagion. According to the new recommendations of the ‘Covid traffic light’, the interiors of the bars in the regions that are at alert level 3 (orange) they should remain closed.

In Andalucia, up to four people per table are allowed inside the hotel business, except in 15 municipalities where the contagion rate has exceeded 500 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants, so the Board has decided to close all non-essential activities.

In Catalonia, the hotel industry closes at 5 pm and allows a capacity of 30 percent with four people per table maximum. In the Basque Country, the hotel and restaurant establishments that are in localities with more than 400 infections per one hundred thousand inhabitants must reduce their hours of attention to the public indoors from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The closing hours of bars and restaurants in the whole of Asturias are kept at 8:00 p.m. In La Rioja, the hospitality industry can be consumed indoors with a maximum capacity of 30%.

Other restrictions

Among the restrictions recommended by the Public Health Commission for those regions at alert level 3 is also that of not smoking on public roads when it is not possible to maintain a safe distance and that of not smoking on terraces.

He also advises postpone the celebration of ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, communions until the improvement of the epidemiological situation. The capacity may not exceed one third in closed spaces (maximum ten people) provided that the safety distance and adequate ventilation can be guaranteed.

In places of worship It will not be possible to exceed a third of the capacity. The closing of gyms is also recommended. Congresses, business meetings, seminars and conferences must be carried out electronically. Activities in the interior areas of bingo halls, casinos, arcades and games rooms and specific betting establishments should be suspended.

In the commercial premises the maximum capacity may not exceed one third. If it is not possible to maintain the safety distance, the stay inside the premises will be restricted to a single client. In the markets, only 50% of the stalls usually authorized may be in the case of being outdoors and with a capacity of 50%.

In the beaches, the limitation and control of the maximum capacity may not exceed 50% of the capacity established and access to the beach for walking or sports will be limited.
