El Campello reinforces the services of lifeguard, security and cleanliness on the beaches for this summer season. Thus, the event was attended by the Rescue and Lifeguard, Maintenance and Cleaning in Beaches team, departments led by the First Deputy Mayor Julio Oca (Cs) and agents of the local Police and Civil Protection, powers delegated to the mayor Rafa Galvañ ( PP). In addition, the operational and technical team of the councils outlined. All of them have worked and work for safety on the beaches and coves of the municipality.

For the device to be a success, the councils involved have worked all year to comply with and enforce a security plan that guarantees the well-being of the users of the sandbanks. This plan could not be executed without the human and technical resources that all the departments involved have made available.

In this way, the Rescue and Lifeguard team will be made up of a total of 65 professionals, 42 of whom will ensure daily safety. For this, the Department of Beaches has improved and reinforced the service and material resources with 110.5 hours, 140 extraordinary full days in the adapted and aquatic and a jet ski and a 4×4 quad, compared to previous years.

For its part, the Department of Tourism Services, Maintenance and Infrastructures, have been in charge of installing and signaling the more than 2.5 km of footbridges that El Campello has, to guarantee that the distancing measures from the covid-19. In addition, “the footwashers have been disabled in the direction of entry to avoid crowds and, for the first time in El Campello, 24 recycling islets have been arranged in all our sandy areas, including the coves, because cleanliness and hygiene is essential”, has declared the first deputy mayor.

To keep the coastline in perfect condition, the council will use tractors and water cleaners and it will break and screen the sand every day of the week. Approximately twenty operators dedicated exclusively to cleaning and maintaining the beaches. In addition, a loader and two trucks will take care of the controlled removal of the algae and a 24-hour “beach guard” will be ready to resolve any incidents that may arise at any time.

For his part, the mayor of Civil Protection and Citizen Security, Rafa Galvañ (PP), wanted to highlight the reinforcement of the police device for this summer 2021, “with the quads, a boat and one more patrol for the afternoon and evening shift.
