The exposition “Germán Bernácer: the humanist economist” arrives in Elda. It is an interesting traveling sample on one of the figures of the Spanish economy of greater international importance. The Councilor for Relations with the University, Beloved Navalon, Accompanied by Pedro Algarra, President of the Germán Bernácer Economic Debate Forum, have participated in the presentation ceremony together with the partners of the Germán Bernácer Economic Debate Forum and Elda, José Antonio Muñoz-Zafrilla, (JA Muñoz-Zafrilla Abogados) and Antonio Rodríguez Villanueva, (Serade Consultores), Enar Ruiz Conde, director of the Germán Bernácer Chair, and Rosario Navalón, Director of the UA Headquarters in Elda, as an entity that has mediated for this exhibition to visit the city. This sample, which has already passed through the towns of Villena and Orihuela, can be seen in the Sala Ficia of the Footwear Museum from January 12 to 31, before continuing with its journey through other municipalities of the province, such as Ibi, Alcoy, Benidorm and Elche, closing its roaming at the Bank of Spain in Madrid.
The exhibition, which aims to spread the professional and human profile, in addition to the thought and work of the economist-humanist most versatile and universal from Alicante, is co-organized by the Elda University Headquarters of the University of Alicante, the Germán Bernácer Chair and the Germán Bernácer Economic Debate Forum, “Which aims to promote the involvement of civil society in the province of Alicante in all issues that may affect economic and social development”, as indicated by its president Pedro Algarra. It also has the collaboration of the Mediterranean Foundation and the Bernácer family, who have delivered a copy of the book on the figure of this distinguished economist, from the hands of Enar Ruiz, to the councilor Amado Navalón. In addition to the exhibition, it is also planned to hold an act of presentation of the figure of Germán Bernácer with a talk and viewing of a video about this personality, together with a round table on challenges for the economic development of Elda, whose date has been postponed. until the health situation is more favorable. For her part, Rosario Navalón has stated that “The view of students from different educational centers in Elda and the region is also expected in order for them to discover the projection and importance of this character from Alicante”, as indicated by Rosario Navalón. In this act, in addition to the exhibition, a competition associated with it has been announced that, with the name ‘Come to Bernácer in Elda’, aims to encourage citizens to visit the exhibition.
