Errol Spence Jr. vs. Yordenis Ugas live updates, results, highlights for welterweight unification fight

Two of the top welterweights on the planet will face off inside AT&T Stadium in Texas on Saturday. On the line will be the WBC, IBF, and WBA titles. Will Errol Spence Jr. or Yordenis Ugas walk out of the ring with the ultimate bragging rights?

Spence made his pro debut in 2012. The 2009 Golden Gloves champion beat Kell Brook for the IBF welterweight title in 2017 and has defended it five times. In a fight to remember, Spence beat Shawn Porter in September 2019 to win the WBC title. His last fight was in 2020; he defeated Danny Garcia to retain his titles.

The past few years have been tough for Spence. Not long after the Porter fight, he was involved a horrific single-car accident. His Ferrari flipped multiple times and he was ejected him from the car. The wreck landed him in the intensive care unit.

He lost to Porter in 2019 for the WBC welterweight title but rebounded by winning three in a row. The WBA (Regular) champion after beating Abel Ramos, Ugas took care of Manny Pacquiao to retain the WBA (now Super) title.

Pacquiao retired following the bout. Spence was supposed to fight Pacquiao, but he suffered a torn retina before the bout.
