When is the FA Cup fourth round draw?
- Date: Sunday, January 9, 2022
- Hour: 11:50 am ET
- Television channel: None
- Stream: ESPN +
In addition to each match on the third round roster, ESPN + will also carry the draw with the broadcast scheduled to begin Sunday at 11:50 am ET, just 20 minutes before the Nottingham Forest vs. Arsenal game and the day before the final. The round match is played at Old Trafford. The winners of both games will know where they will play from February.
The allotted 20 minutes is more than enough time to make the draw, given the efficiency with which they are executed compared to the productions that are made for other competitions: each surviving team is assigned a number and the balls are drawn with those numbers. It’s as simple as that. There are no hollow balls to unscrew with small unfolded rolls of paper, a process that can add significant time to the procedure.
