Keenan Allen COVID update

Allen was placed on the reserve / COVID list earlier in the week and since he’s vaccinated, he has a chance to play the Giants. Of course, we cannot speculate on whether it will test negative twice in a 24 hour span, so it would be silly to guess if it is playing.

Obviously he’s a must-start if he can play and he’s ranked as our WR11 in standard and WR10 in the PPR leagues. Mike Williams (see below) might be out too, and we’ll dive into what that might mean in his section of the post.

Darren Waller injury update

Waller (knee) I don’t practice on Wednesday, and we’d be surprised if you practice all week. In all likelihood, he will be out, and Foster Moreau will be the starter after a disappointing fantasy performance last week.

Once again, Moreau was a disappointment against Washington, but a matchup with Kansas City is much more favorable. It ranks as our TE12 in the standard and PPR leagues in what is shaping up to be a shallow week for TEs.

Mike Williams COVID update

Williams (reserve / COVID) is not vaccinated and since he was a close contact with Keenan Allen (presumably), he will be out for at least five days starting Monday. That said, you can play the Giants on Sunday if you continue to test negative for the rest of the week.

Again, it’s not smart to speculate, but Williams is currently our WR30 in the standard and PPR leagues. If one of the Chargers’ WRs is out, Jaylen Guyton draws a strong flexible appeal. If both are out, Josh Palmer could also be considered in deep leagues. TE Jared Cook and RB Austin Ekeler would likely see more targets as well.

Update on Deebo Samuel’s injury

Samuel (groin) I don’t practice on Wednesday, and since his original schedule was one to two weeks, his status is actually up for Week 14. For now, he seems to be on the wrong side of “questionable”, but we won’t know for sure until later in the day. week.

We don’t currently have Samuel in our rankings, but he’s obviously a must-start against Cincinnati based on his production this season. Brandon Aiyuk should be seen as a mid-level WR2 if Samuel is out. If Samuel plays, Aiyuk is just a mid-level flex.
