WEEK 16: Top Waiver Collections

Antonio Brown update

Antonio Brown (suspension) will be “welcome” in Week 16, according to Bruce Arians, And it couldn’t come at a better time with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (knee) dealing with injuries. His three-game suspension for “misrepresenting his vaccination status” ended, and he reportedly healed his foot injury after being out since Week 6. He will immediately take on a key role against the Panthers in Week 16.

Even if Evans and Godwin weren’t hit, Brown would draw a lot of initial interest, but with Godwin at least wasting time, Brown is a must-start without hesitation. Carolina made the top five against the fantasy WRs heading into Week 15, but had been struggling even before allowing Gabriel Davis and Stefon Diggs to combine for three touchdowns in Week 15. Brown has WR1 on the upside right away. .

Update on AJ Brown’s injury

Brown (chest) may return from IR in Week 16, and heading into a showdown with the 49ers on Thursday, the Fantasy owners of the Titans and Brown are desperate to get it back. With Julio Jones (hamstring) likely out, Brown will return to virtually no target competition. Of course, he could be limited by his annoying injuries this season, but the advantage is too high here to put him on the bench. We know it’s hard to risk these things during fantasy playoffs, but you’ll kick yourself if you get back into form and have an explosive game.

The Niners are a top 12 showdown for the WRs, so he sees Brown as a risky low-end WR2 with a real WR1 lead. It’s hard to tell what it will look like if you play, but again, the target competition is ridiculous. If he and Jones are out, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine could serve as a decent flexible option in deep leagues, but no one is guaranteed a great game in this struggling offense.

Calvin Ridley update

There have been no updates on Ridley (staff) in quite some time, so it’s hard to think that he will return for Week 16 against the Lions. With that said, we are very early in the week so stay tuned. Ultimately, he might not be able to play again this season (which is what he sounds like), but we can’t act like he wouldn’t attract the initial interest right away if he returns.

All that said, we’re moving forward like he’s not going to play, and since Russell Gage has been very productive lately, he’s a great flexible option heading into a showdown with Detroit. It is best suited for PPR leagues. but you should also have a good day in standard.
