Fantasy Kicker Rankings Week 13: Who to start with, sit on the kicker in fantasy football

Every decision to start, lay becomes a little more important as we enter the final weeks of the fantasy football regular season, and that includes the kicker. Of course, you can go crazy trying to find the best booter, so let our week 13 fantasy kicker rankings help you.

When it comes to fighting, some of the best kickers stand out a little more than usual. Greg Joseph (@ Lions), Matt Prater (@ Bears), Greg Zuerlein (@ Saints) and pinch-hitter Jake Elliott (@ Jets) are in the top six thanks, in part, to the top five statistical matchups. Joseph and Zuerlein get the added advantage of playing indoors.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST

Other top kickers include Evan McPherson (vs. Chargers), Graham Gano (@ Dolphins), Brett Maher (vs. Cowboys) and Joey Slye (@ Raiders). Among that group, Maher and Slye are playing indoors.

WEEK 13 STANDARD RATINGS:
Field marshal | Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST

At this time of year, we always have to keep an eye on the weather, especially when the best kickers play in places like Pittsburgh (Justin Tucker), Buffalo (Nick Folk and Tyler Bass) and Cincinnati (Dustin Hopkins). Even if it’s cold, these kickers should be fine if there’s little wind, rain, or snow, but as soon as the elements kick in, everything becomes at least a little more difficult. You don’t have to go overboard and bench any kickers because some snow is forecast, but obviously high winds or snow can affect offenses in general, especially kickers.

The Panthers, Browns, Packers and Titans are free this week, and none have a kicker in more than 44 percent of the leagues. However, Randy Bullock and Zane Gonzalez have been the top 12 kickers this year, so at least some owners might be looking for a new kicker this week. If you are in the boat, we always advise not to carry two kickers at the same time. No matter how good Bullock has been for you, quit and pick someone new as a free agent (not waivers). Waiver and roster positions are too valuable this time of year to waste on kickers.

Note: We will update these kicker rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement.
