Fantasy QB Rankings Week 9: Who to start, sit as a quarterback in fantasy football

Week 9 marks the midpoint of the NFL regular season (and past the midpoint of the fantasy football regular season), so we’ve got some solid matchup numbers to help inform our decisions to start, sit down. . Must-start fantasy stallions have emerged like Joe Burrow (vs. Browns) and Jalen Hurts (vs. Chargers), while some dudes have fallen into match-based sleepers. Of course, there are still his classic matchup-based streamers that we hoped would be just that in preseason. We’re here to fix it all with the help of our Week 9 fantasy quarterback rankings.

Derek Carr (@ Eagles) and Lamar Jackson (vs. Vikings) are back in action after the byes, but we sacrificed Tom Brady. Taylor Heinicke, Jared Goff and Geno Smith are off the table as well, although only two-quarterback / superflex league owners will likely notice them missing. Even more important in the two-quarterback / superflex (and possibly one quarterback) leagues is the possible return of Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) out of the IR. He has a very favorable showdown against Miami, which puts him squarely in the streamers’ conversation.

WEEK 9 PPR RANKINGS:
Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Tua Tagovailoa (vs. Texans), Carson Wentz (vs. Jets), Teddy Bridgewater (@ Cowboys), and Taysom Hill (vs. Falcons), assuming you’re free of concussion protocol, join Taylor as the top streaming options. Tagovailoa and Wentz have shown that they can do it when the confrontation is right. The only problem for Wentz might be the lack of a competitive game against the Jets, but considering they’ve pulled off some big upsets against Tennessee and Cincinnati this year, we’re not ruling them out against Indy. Bridgewater has had its ups and downs, and Hill hasn’t played much recently, and he hasn’t played much QB all this year. However, we know the kind of high-floor, double-threat advantage he has when he’s under center, and against the Falcons, he’s in a good position for good numbers overall.

WEEK 9 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Running backwards | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

On the other hand, Matt Ryan (@ Saints), Ryan Tannehill (@ Rams) and Sam Darnold (against Patriots) have all produced in a few weeks, but defenses in New Orleans, Los Angeles and New England tend to shut down. fringe starters. However, Tannehill has the exact opposite situation to a guy like Wentz. If this Titans-Rams game is a back-and-forth shootout, it could surely be a hit. We only see better options on the board.

Hurts and Jackson appear to have tough matchups, as Los Angeles and Minnesota are the top 10 defensive units against quarterbacks. They take a slight jump in the rankings, but we know that their activity on the ground means that their floor and ceiling are still high.

Losing Brady definitely hurts his owners, but there are plenty of pivots that can help you get through the week. The quarterback stays deep, so find your week-long streamer, wait for a few touchdowns, and ride Brady the rest of the way after Week 9.

Note: We’ll update these quarterback rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player moves and analysis.
