the international congress Santander Women NOW, organized by Mujerhoy and Vocento, will be held on June 16 and 17 in the Beatriz Madrid building, in Madrid. More than 30 top-level international speakers will participate in it. The opening day of Santander WomenNOW will feature initial speeches by the chairman of Vocento, Ignatius Ybarraof the mayor of Madrid, Jose Luis Martinez-Almeida. Next, the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenskaone of the great protagonists of the congress, will broadcast a message live.

Starting at 9:30 a.m., under the title ‘The leaders we need’, there will be talks by the founding economist and director of the IIPP, Mariana Mazzucatoand the director of T&O Europe and Spain Banco Santander, Cristina Alvarez.

Later, a colloquium with the athletes will begin Sarah Andrew Y adriana cherry.

After a short break, journalist Ixone Díaz will interview Fawzia Koofi, former Vice President of the National Assembly of Afghanistan and former member of the negotiation team with the Taliban. Next, the Director of Responsible Business and Reputation of the DKV Seguros Group, Silvia Agullo; the president of Redeia, Beatrice Runner; and the Director of Sustainability of Iberia, Theresa Parejowill participate in the colloquium ‘The future we need’.

The morning session will end with an interview with Pau Gasolcarried out by the director of WomenNOW Lourdes Garzón, and the intervention of the third vice president of the Government and minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic challenge, Theresa Rivera.

At 4:00 p.m. the activity will resume with an interview with Victor Alonso, President of Post Production, Visual Effects and Animation and Executive Producer at Marvel Studios. Then it will be the turn of Cynthia Germanottapresident of the Born This Way Foundation which she co-founded with her daughter Lady Gaga.

The colloquium ‘Was this success?’ will then begin, with the participation of Lucia Freitaschef who owns the gastronomic restaurant A Tafona and the gastronomic bar Lume, and Alauda Ruiz de Azua, director and screenwriter of the film Cinco Lobitos. Right after, the CEO of L’Oréal Paris, Silvia Macedoand the director of the Fundación Mujeres, Marisa Soletowill take part in the symposium ‘Stand up: let’s stand up to street harassment’.

The last colloquium of the afternoon will bring together Mary FasceLiterary Director at Alfaguara, Lumen and Reservoir Books; Virginia Feito, writer and author of the bestseller ‘La Señora March’; Y Laura Fernandez ThickCEO of The Mediapro Studio.

The final point of the day will be put by the entrepreneur, artist, model and activist Ambra Battilana, the woman who exposed and denounced the abuses inflicted by film producer Harvey Weinstein; and the CEO of Iberdrola Spain, Angeles Santamariawhich will try to shed light on ‘The sustainable challenge’.
