Next Sunday, May 29, the 15th birthday of street view and with this reason Google has published a study about the most visited places using this tool. According to said report, Spain is the sixth country with the most visitors in the last year (May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022). Inside of Spain, Catalonia and Andalusia are the autonomous communities that take the cake and Madrid and Barcelona were the most popular Spanish destinations for the whole world in the last year.
What has been most explored in Street View in Spain have been three football stadiums, which stand out among the five most visited points of interest: Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Camp Nou, Sagrada Familia,
Punta de Tarifa and Wanda Metropolitano.
With the arrival of summer, Street View has also been used to see which are the most “clicked” beaches on the platform. Between April 24, 2021 and April 24 of this year, Balearic Islands take the cake with Ibiza’s Playa d’en Bossa and Mallorca’s Cala Major. It is followed by S’Alguer beach, Malagueta and Cala Moraig.
