Having high cholesterol is one of the conditions that most deteriorates health and it is well known that it is the precedent par excellence of diseases of cardiovascular origin. Today it is one of the most popular diagnoses and is believed to be directly related to the lifestyle of modern society. The quality of the diet, stress management, the level of physical activity and a good rest are aspects that play a fundamental role. Based on this, one of the main medical recommendations is to make adjustments in the diet; increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables is essential. And for this reason, these four combinations of homemade and natural juices are a great ally to promote the consumption of essential nutrients that regulate cholesterol in a natural way.
Cholesterol is actually a lipid or fat produced by the liver, about 1,000 milligrams per day to be exact. According to Harvard University, in the proper proportion cholesterol is vital for the functioning of very important tasks in the body: the production of sex hormones, helps to produce the outer lining of cells, intervenes in the digestion of food in the intestine, it produces hormones and vitamin D, and many other tasks. However, it turns bad when there is too much. As an aside, it is worth mentioning that there are two types of cholesterol: good cholesterol, or HDL (high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, and bad, or LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol. HDL is what picks up bad cholesterol from the blood vessels and takes it to the liver, where it is processed and removed from our system.
Taking into account that following a natural, integral and processed-free diet is essential to reduce high cholesterol levels; we gave ourselves the task of compiling 4 juice recipes that together with lifestyle adjustments will be a wonderful ally to ease the journey.
