Huawei is launching. The Chinese company has just announced the global availability of its new foldable, the Huawei Mate Xs 2, and its new smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro. Both devices are already familiar to us, since were presented in China a few weeks ago.

Premium materials in two sizes
We start by reviewing the design of both versions. The Titanium model is the largest and has a 46 millimeter dial, in addition to a weight of 54 grams without the strap. It is made of titanium and protected by a sapphire crystal and its straps can be black fluoroelastomer or gray leather.
The Ceramic model, meanwhile, has a 42 millimeter case, weighs 50 grams without the strap, is made of nanocrystalline ceramic and protected by sapphire crystal. As for the straps, they can be white ceramic or white leather. The design change is also evidentas can be seen in the images, although both versions have that rotating crown that we have seen in so many other company watches.
The differences in size also affect the screen and the battery. The Titanium model incorporates a 1.43-inch AMOLED-panel and 572 mAh battery, while the Ceramic model has a 1.32 inch screen and 292mAh. This translates into important differences in the maximum autonomy, being up to 14 days in the Titanium and up to seven days in the Ceramic.
Same in functions
If they are different on the outside, they are the same on the inside. Huawei has once again opted for HarmonyOS as an operating system, something that makes all the sense in the world. The watch uses Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to the mobile, has 2.4 GHz WiFi and, among other things, It has 4 GB of internal storage to, for example, store music or podcasts locally.
The watch has a built-in GPS chip that is compatible with all five major satellite systems, viz. GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS. This allows us to track the route during the exercise and, as an additional functionality, retrace our steps following the instructions.
Regarding health and monitoring, the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro has the “intelligent running” function (which we already know from the Huawei Watch GT Runner), synchronization with third-party hardware and apps like Runtastic or Komoot and more than 100 training modes. Needless to say, it has IP68 water resistance and up to 5 ATM.
Finally, it should be noted that the watch is compatible with the management of the menstrual cycle and that it incorporates the TruSeen 5.0+ sensor (again, that of the Huawei Watch GT Runner) to measure the level of oxygen in the blood in real time, sleep and heart rate.
