The new director of the National Intelligence Center, hope casteleirohas taken office in an expectant inauguration at the Ministry of Defense.
This change comes two days after the Government dismissed Paz Esteban as head of the CNI after pressure from the Catalan independentistas for espionage with the Pegasus software and the bankruptcy of the security of the telephones of the President of the Government and the ministers of Interior and Defense.
With a packed house on the tenth floor of the Castellana 109 building, with some 70 accredited journalists and some 60 civil and military guests, the Defense Minister, Margaret Oakshas underlined in his speech that it is “the continuation of the same people who worked in the Ministry of Defense and the National Intelligence Center.”
