Klopp selects his favourite Salah goals for Liverpool

Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain have taken a huge step towards the next round of the Champions League, and it’s no surprise that Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe were amongst the goals.

The pair are two of the finest attackers in world football, with Salah being claimed by many as the best on the planet due to current form, and Mbappe is likely to be picking up a Ballon d’Or in years to come.

Many fans would do anything to have the life of their idols, with lots of up and coming footballers looking up to them as they dream of what may come in the future.

But Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry have disagreed over which star they’d rather be, if given the choice.

CBS’s coverage of the Champions League has received quite a large following over recent weeks as Carragher, Henry and Micah Richards have made up a star-studded panel, and a segment called ‘The Mixer’ has become extremely popular.

The segment sees the former professionals answer a series of quick-fire questions, which naturally spirals into a debate when disagreements occur, which is exactly what happened when Salah and Mbappe were mentioned.

The pundits were asked ‘Who would they rather be – Mbappe or Salah’, and after Richards instantly said he’s prefer to be the Frenchman, Henry and Carragher hesitated when giving their answers.

However, unsurprisingly, both pundits backed their favourites as Carragher stayed loyal to Salah, while Henry chose Mbappe, who has even admitted that he idolised the former Arsenal forward as a child.

Salah is very much in the prime of his career at Liverpool, and the Egyptian is on course to claim another Premier League golden boot, and potentially swoop for the Champions League top scorer too if the Reds go far in the competition.

Mbappe on the other hand, is already a World Cup winner, but whereas he has an international trophy to his name, he is yet to achieve European silverware with PSG.

The Frenchman is already one of the best players in the world, and at the age of just 23, it’s likely that he will be crowned as the best player at some point in his career.

Mohamed Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season

Salah’s best chance has to be during 2022, as many were surprised with his low ranking in the recent Ballon d’Or awards, but if he can inspire Liverpool to either the Premier League or Champions League this season then it may finally be his year.

Lionel Messi picked up the award despite Robert Lewandowski’s dominant goal-scoring season, but with the Argentinian struggling at PSG this year, the six-time winner may already be out of the running.

Mbappe is in contention for the award too, as he has stepped up in the absence of Neymar and Messi, and with his future still up in the air, he could kick-on even further if he makes a move in the summer.
