Kentucky basketball vs. South Carolina: Wildcats win 5th straight

Kentucky basketball extended its winning streak to five games with an 86-76 victory at South Carolina Tuesday.

The Wildcats led by as many as 11 points in the first half before South Carolina clawed back into the game to tie the score at 43 four minutes into the second half. Kentucky never surrendered the lead though, eventually stretching its margin to 14 with 7:52 remaining.

South Carolina cut the lead to eight with 2:45 left before Kentucky scored six straight to clinch the win.

Junior forward Oscar Tshiebwe led the way with his 18th double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds. He was joined in double figures by junior forward Keion Brooks (15), freshman guard TyTy Washington (14), super senior guard Kellan Grady (12), super senior guard Davion Mintz (10) and junior forward Jacob Toppin (10).
