Kits with first aid products, blankets, warm clothes and non-perishable food have been ordered
The City Hall of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelonès) in coordination with Civil Protection of L’Hospitalet and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Barcelona, has organized a collection of relief material for the Ukrainian people during this weekend. In a statement this Wednesday, the council explained that the campaign is called ‘Donem suport a Ucraïna’ and that the collection of material will take place this Saturday and Sunday in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The consulate has requested that they provide first aid kits with first aid products; blankets, Warm clothing and other pieces of clothing to combat the cold -gloves, scarves or wool hats-; and nonperishable food such as rice, legumes, infant milk powder, fruit juices, pasta, preserves or soluble coffee.

The material collected in the city will be delivered by Civil Protection to the Consulate for storage and shipment to the Ukrainian population. In addition, the Municipal Service for International Cooperation of the city will make an economic contribution that will materialize in the next few days.

The consistory also recalled that this Tuesday the Town Hall square hosted a citizen rally in defense of peace and in support of the Ukrainian people and that in L’Hospitalet live about 700 citizens of Ukrainian origin.
