Agents of the National Police have detained in Coria del Río (Seville) the parents of three minors who had been missing since 2017 to prevent their withdrawal due to abandonment, by virtue of a resolution of the Minors Protection Service. The minors were held by their parents in an occupied flat in Coria, where they were finally located by the investigators.

The events date back to June 2017, when the Andalusian Government’s Child Protection Service, in a resolution of helplessness, ordered the removal of three minors aged 2, 3 and 8 years from the custody of their parents. who at that time lived in the Polígono Sur neighborhood of Seville.

Agents from the Area for the Protection of Minors (APROME) of the National Police Corps Unit, when going to execute the resolution, verified that the parents had left the neighborhood with their children, not knowing the whereabouts of the family.

All the steps taken to locate the parents and minors were unsuccessful, until last February, agents from the Coria de Río National Police Station shared the data with the National Police unit attached to the Junta de Andalucía. of a marriage that had been affiliated due to a recent occupation carried out in a house in the town of Coria, which is why the investigations were initiated to determine and verify the whereabouts of the minors.

In addition, they discovered that the anti-squatter armored door of the house lacked keys to open it and was hit on its return by the parents as a password, to be opened from the inside by one of the minors.

The agents were able to verify during the investigation that the three brothers did not go to school or go to the doctor, being deprived of their normal evolutionary and emotional development by being forced to remain locked up at home, depriving them of their freedom of movement.

Thus, a device was organized made up of all the police units involved and on March 3, the home was entered by virtue of an order from a Court of First Instance and Family, finding the minors inside, who they were immediately placed at the disposal of the services for the protection of minors of the Junta de Andalucía.

The mother is charged with the crimes of child abduction and illegal detention and the father is also accused of attacking an agent of the authority, for assaulting a policeman while he was guarded in the dungeons waiting to be brought to justice.
