After a year and a half of dating, the couple made up of Megan Fox Y Machine Gun Kelly got engaged on January 11 in Puerto Rico, under the same tree where they first declared their love for each other.
“Somehow, a year and a half later, after going through hell together and laughing more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him”, the actress shared excitedly along with a video where she explained that both drank each other’s blood as a way of sealing the commitment.
“And as in all the lives before this one, and as in all the lives that will follow, I said yes… and then we drank each other’s blood,” he wrote on Instagram.
MGK gave Fox a unique and very significant engagement ring for both, designed by jeweler Stephen Webster, as revealed in a publication, which includes their respective birthstones, the emerald for her and the diamond for him, to form a heart, however, her creativity could go further.
In a new interview with Vogue, the musician offered more details about the ring and, in addition, explained that he thought about how it would look, he also thought how the ring would feel on Fox’s hand. And it is that according to what he declared, he made sure that The band will include small spikes to scratch the actress’s finger every time she tries to remove it.
“The concept is that the ring can be separated to make two different rings. When they are put together, they are held together by a magnet. They form a dark heart. And do you see this here? The bands are actually spines. So if you try to take it off, it hurts“, explained Colson Baker, as the singer is really called.
This peculiar idea is based on the concept that “love hurts”, in which they both firmly believe, and also fits perfectly with the way they chose to seal their commitment: by drinking his blood.
The couple met on the set of their movie ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’, which began filming in March 2020. They later made it official on Instagram in July of the same year.
Fox’s split from Brian Austin Green was confirmed in May after 10 years of marriage. They have three children: Noah Shannon, 9, Bodhi Ransom, 7, and Journey River, 5.
Machine Gun Kelly is the father of a 12-year-old girl, Casie, with Emma Cannon.
