Memphis Grizzlies game tonight vs Boston Celtics: injury report, prediction

The final game of the regular season is upon us and the Memphis Grizzlies will be hosting the Boston Celtics to end what has been a spectacular season.

The Grizzlies have a chance to set a franchise record for most wins in a single regular season if they can fend off the red-hot Celtics. They currently have tied the 2012-13 Grizzlies for most wins in a season at 56. A 57th win would give this team the outright record.

But, getting that win will be an uphill battle. The Celtics have morphed into one of the most dangerous teams in the entire league.

Boston is 14-4 since March 1, having put together a remarkable turnaround from a season in which they started 2-5.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Celtics April 10 predictions

The Memphis Grizzlies are playing back-to-back, having just defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in Ja Morant’s first game back since injuring his knee on March 18.

It’s hard to predict what sort of personnel Head Coach Taylor Jenkins will use and how many minutes key players will be getting in this game since the No. 2 seed is clinched.

But, my gut tells me he will give the starters 25+ minutes each, just to give them one more go-around of getting pacing, spacing, and rhythm back before the playoffs begin.

The Grizzlies will have nearly a week off before the playoffs begin, so there will be plenty of time to rest up after this game.

The prideful Grizzlies would surely love to lay claim to the title of best Memphis Grizzlies team ever and they will be going all out to make sure that final win is secured.

Prediction: Memphis 118, Celtics 107
