The new Mercedes-AMG ONE It is one of the projects of the German firm that has aroused the most interest among motor fans. Now, we already know it.

The idea, in this case, has been to offer a hypercar with overwhelming mechanics. We review: 574 hp 1.6-liter V6 engine adapted directly from the one used by the Formula 1 team in 2015. Four electric motors to generate another 611 hp, one coupled to the turbocharger, another linked directly to the crankshaft next to the combustion engine and two motors on the front axle that deliver power to each of the wheels. In total, the Mercedes-AMG One is capable of developing 1,063 hp.

The result is a hypercar that accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.0 seconds (Mercedes does not specify its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h) and is electronically limited to a top speed of 352km/h.

As for the electrical capacities, the battery of this hybrid is 8.4 kWh that allows driving in exclusively electric mode for 18.1 km. Recharging can be done by the combustion engine itself or with recovery during braking. According to brand data, the front electric motors can recover up to 80% of the braking energy in normal driving conditions.

Inside, the Mercedes-AMG One surprises with its competition steering wheel with gear change indicator, buttons to select the driving programs, the nine traction levels or the activation of the DRS among other elements. The steering wheel is accompanied by an interior screen, integrated into the roof, which acts as a central mirror to save the huge rear spoiler.

In addition, the digital instrument panel is located slightly above the steering wheel so as not to take your eyes off the road and the central screen is directed towards the driver. Both are 10 inches in size and have individual graphics for the hypercar. To enjoy external audio equipment, two mini-USB connections are provided in the center tunnel. The entire cabin has been designed to increase structural rigidity, to the point that the seat is fixed and the pedals are the ones that can be moved in depth to adapt to the driving position.
