Middlesbrough knock Tottenham out of FA Cup after extra time

An absolutely delighted Josh Coburn spoke to BBC Sport at the end of the game giving his initial reaction to Middlesbrough’s brilliant victory saying:

Speechless. In front of the Riverside Stadium, you cannot get better than that against a Premier League team.

“I hit it as hard as I could and thankfully it went in. Up there with the best (moment of career), just amazing. I can’t put it into words.

“In the training ground, all the lads are buzzing. The fans are getting behind the players too. Hopefully we can continue it and get another big team in the next round.”

It’s another season without a trophy for Tottenham. I wonder what Antonio Conte thought of that performance.

ET GOAL! Middlesbrough 1 – 0 Tottenham (Coburn, 107′)⚽️

107 mins: Is that the winning goal?! It’s the substitute Josh Coburn who blasts the ball past Hugo Lloris! A throw in sends the ball down the right wing to Isaiah Jones. He passes it to Coburn who lays the ball off to Matt Crooks before sprinting into the right side of the box. Crooks slides the ball back to him and Emerson Royal is playing him onside at the opposite side of the box. Coburn brings the ball under control then smokes a right-footed effort into the back of the net. No chance for Hugo Lloris to stop that one.
