NASCAR at Pocono, live race updates, results and highlights from Sunday’s Explore the Pocono Mountains 350

If the second of two races at Pocono Raceway is half as exciting as the first, then NASCAR fans everywhere will be delighted.

Saturday’s race featured close competition at the end between Hendrick Motorsport teammates Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman, with the former eventually surpassing the lead with just four laps to go. For a time, it looked like the “Tricky Triangle” would be the site of Larson’s fourth consecutive victory in the NASCAR Cup Series, until a broken tire knocked him off the wall and allowed Bowman to wrest the victory from his teammate. Larson finished ninth in Saturday’s race.

Said Bowman after the race: “I hate winning that way, but heck yeah I’ll take it.”

The order of arrival is also not inconsequential for Sunday’s Explore the Pocono Mountains 350 – the top 20 finishers in Saturday’s Pocono Organics CBD 325 had their final positions reversed, meaning Chris Buescher, who finished 20th on Saturday, will take pole. Although Larson is technically slated for 12th in Sunday’s lineup, he will be moved to the rear as a result of driving a backup car.
